Why should I use essence and when?

This is a question I had when I first started doing a Korean skin care routine. First let’s discuss why you should be using an essence. You may be amazed to find out that essence treats our skin on a cellular level. What does that mean for you and me? Well to put it simply our skin is our larges organ in the human body. It’s also our outside layer meaning dirt, oils, chemicals, and any other things you can imagine get on our skin and can damage it. Heat and cold can also have an effect on our skin. So the cellular level refers to the microscopic level of individual cells.

Essence helps treat damaged unhealthy cells and replace them with new, healthy cells. This is one reason why essence should never be skipped in the skin care routine.

Essence should be used after applying toner to your face. Apply by putting a drop or two of essence in your hands rubbing them together and massaging it on your face.
